COVID19

The COVID19 pandemic has impacted everyone, and it has certainly impacted TDI Connect. Here are a number of things we are doing to keep some activity going at TDI Connect through the pandemic.

VOLUNTEERS - We have a few dedicated volunteers that have been working with us through the pandemic. Social distancing means that we can only ever work with a very limited number of volunteers at our location at any one time. At this moment, we are not looking for any new volunteers, but we will post on our website directly any volunteer opportunities become available.

During volunteering, the following protocols are followed:

  • Masks must be worn
  • Social distancing must be observed (at least 6 feet apart)
  • Hands must be washed before starting to volunteer and at the end of volunteering
  • Gloves must be worn when handling any new equipment donations
  • All boxes/containers and equipment that is received through donations must be wiped down with Lysol (desktops, keyboards, cables, mice, monitors, laptops, etc.)
  • All equipment that is prepared for distribution must be wiped down with Lysol (CPUs, keyboards, cables, mice, monitors, laptops, etc.)

PC/HARDWARE DONATIONS RECEIVED BY TDI CONNECT - When new donations are received, the following protocols must be followed:

  • Gloves must be worn by volunteers when handling any new equipment donations
  • All contains/boxes which have the donated hardware must be wiped down with Lysol
  • Individually all desktops, cables, mice, monitors, laptops must be wiped down with Lysol
  • Once the donation has been sanitized, it must be stored together and clearly labelled as "SANITIZED", dated and noted with the person/people who carried out the sanitization.

PC/HARDWARE DISTRIBUTED BY TDI CONNECT - When new donations are received, the following protocols must be followed:

  • All contains/boxes which are included with the distribution must be wiped down with Lysol
  • Individually all desktops, cables, mice, monitors, laptops must be wiped down with Lysol
  • Once the distribution has been sanitized, it must be stored together and clearly labelled with the recipient of the distribution, the fact that it has been "SANITIZED", and also dated and annotated with the person/people who carried out the santization.
